Air Traffic Manager
Mr. Alexander F. Saye, Sr.
Mr. Alexander F. Saye, Sr., Manager, Air Traffic Management Department (ATMD), in January, 2001, earned a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Liberia while in March 2009, successfully earned a Master of Arts degree (MA) in Education Administration and Supervision also from the University of Liberia.
Prior to joining the LCAA team in October, 2010, on May 1, 2009, Mr. Saye was employed at the Roberts International Airport as Air Traffic Control Trainee.
In addition to his University degrees, Mr. Saye holds several International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) certificates in air traffic control procedural. These certificates include, Certificate in Aerodrome non radar Procedural, March 8, to May 14, 2010, Certificate in Approach non radar Procedural, November 5, to December 14, 2012. Also, from May 21 to June 14, 2018, he completed an Approach refresher course. All these professional educations were acquired from the form the Ghana Civil Aviation Training Academy (GATA).
After serving for several years in this department, on March 3, 2016, Mr. Saye got promoted to the position of Manager for ATMD where he currently serves.
Notable among his responsibilities as Manager include, directing the work of department while at the same time, interpreting regulations so as to ensure conformity with Air Transport Control procedures. He also supervises the training of department staff and make recommendations for the issuance and validation of ratings for controllers.
