LCAA Leadership in Freetown for Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM) Pilot Implementation Project
Monrovia, Liberia – July 29, 2024 The Director-General of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) Mr. Julius D. Dennis and the Director of Air Transport and Economic Regulation Directorate Mrs. Audrey Zoe Johnson are currently in Freetown, Sierra Leone, to participate in the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM) Pilot Implementation Project (PIP).
The SAATM initiative, a flagship project of the African Union, is aimed at creating a single unified African airspace to boost air travel connectivity across the continent. By attending this crucial meeting, the LCAA leadership is actively demonstrating Liberia’s commitment to regional integration and the development of a robust aviation sector.
Mr. Dennis and Mrs. Johnson will be engaging with aviation stakeholders from across Africa to discuss strategies for implementing the SAATM project, share Liberia’s experiences, and explore opportunities for collaboration. The LCAA is optimistic that this participation will contribute significantly to Liberia’s aviation growth and economic development.
